content This type of newspaper was bought by women (mainly professionnal embroideress) that made a lot of white embroidery for trousseaux since 1900's till the 1970's. Therefore they needed many designs to propose a large choice to their clients.
You will find enclosed most of the times many patterns for embroidery to decorate the following items, for example:
- bibs (bavoirs)
- sheets (draps)
- pillow-cases (taies d'oreillers)
- tea doilies (napperons à thé)
- night-gowns (chemises de nuit)
- lingerie
- miscellaneous patterns
- alphabets for sheets, napkins, lingerie
- monogrammes
